中国微生物学会理事长邓子新院士,海外华人微生物学会执行主席shi wenyuan教授,重庆市科协副主席王勇、我校副校长周常勇教授,重庆市微生物学会理事长胡福泉教授,中科院重庆绿色智能技术研究院副院长战超等出席开幕式。开幕式由中国微生物学会秘书长东秀珠研究员和海外华人微生物学会秘书奚传武博士共同主持,邓子新院士、周常勇副校长分别致词, shi wenyuan教授介绍了会议发起由来,战超副院长作为协办单位之一介绍了单位情况。
会议共收到论文摘要103篇,汇聚了众多微生物学、组学、计算生物学、合成生物学及相关领域的国际国内专家和青年才俊,共安排了43场报告,其中主旨报告7场,大会报告36场,大会工作语言基本为英文。会议分为五个主题进行交流讨论,包括:组学时代的抗生素和药物发现;组学时代的人体微生物;组学时代的致病菌致病机制研究;组学时代的宿主操作;微生物生态、进化和流行病学。
期间,邓子新院士作了题为“组学为再创抗生素传奇提供的契机“的报告,对全球抗生素结合组学手段的研发进行了总结和展望;赵国屏院士结合系统生物学的手段和发展,提出了致病菌组学的新的研究方向;美国微生物科学院院士、上海交通大学赵立平教授将其领先世界的人类肠道菌群研究结合科赫法则阐释其与肥胖的因果关系,展示了大量新发现的现象和数据;北京生命科学研究所的邵峰教授介绍了课题组于2014年6月11日刚刚在《Nature》上在线发表研究,具体阐释了Pyrin蛋白作为PRR蛋白感受多种不同病原菌和毒素对机体Rho家族小G蛋白的修饰和失活的相关机制;美国加州大学洛杉矶分校的施文元教授用生动的语言讲解了利用组学技术发现的在口腔中超过1000中微生物之间的“战争与和平”;南加州大学的Casey Chen教授的报告则结合了比较基因组学和元基因组学的方法,对牙周病相关的微生物进行诊断和分析,美国德州农工大学的Ryland F Young报告了其噬菌体裂解的穿孔素的系统研究,波士顿大学的James Galagan报告了结核菌系统生物学研究。赵国屏院士总结了合成生物学研究的历史和未来。中科院微生物所东秀珠研究员从转录组水平阐释了嗜冷微生物冷适应的机理。美国微生物学科学院院士、俄克拉荷马大学的周集中教授介绍了微生物生态学的组学研究方法技术进展。其他专家代表也作了精彩报告。代表们在会议中积极提问,热烈交流,普遍认为,会议报告反映了学科前沿发展的新观点、新思路、新成果和新技术,获益颇多。
除学术报告外,会议还专门为研究生进行了墙报交流活动,青年学生站在自己的墙报前展示自己的研究成果,并与专家进行交流和讨论。根据墙报结果评选出了一等奖一名,贰等奖二名,三等奖三名。6月28日晚的“研究生论坛”,邀请与会部分国内外专家和青年学生座谈,共同探讨了 “怎样选择课题和设计实验”、“个人利益和集体利益、国家利益之间的选择和协调”等青年研究者们感兴趣和困惑的问题。
会议还安排了上海市一平知识产权有限公司合伙人徐迅先生开展了知识产权培训,邀请部分报告人参与主题为“组学时代的挑战与未来”圆桌会议,共同讨论组学时代的微生物学的发展策略和相关问题,以及未来学术活动的组织等工作。
会议于6月30日中午顺利闭幕。印第安纳大学Frank Yang教授主持闭幕式。俄克拉荷马大学周集中教授和广西大学前校长唐纪良教授为墙报优胜者颁发了获奖证书和奖金。
作为向大众有效科普的一部分,重庆电视台卫视新闻联播等媒体也对此进行了报道,人民电视网、重庆网络广播电视台等转发了新闻。
会议得到国家自然科学基金委资助、美国微生物学会和重庆市教委部分资助,重庆市微生物学会、中国遗传学会微生物遗传专业委员会、重庆市免疫学会、中国科学院重庆绿色智能技术研究院、中国科学院生态环境中心环境生物技术重点实验室、中科院计算生物研究所、台湾阳明大学等作为协办单位。我校生命科学学院现代生物医药研究所谢建平课题组研究生、药学院廖国建博士课题组研究生及含弘学院本科生志愿者负责本次会务接待工作。
